Wildlife abounds at the UC Nature’s Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve. Meet some of the reserve’s furred and feathered residents, which range from gray foxes to quail and mountain lions to ringtails.
In August 2020, wildfire swept through Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve, incinerating much of its trail structures as well as burning large amounts of habitat. Less than a year later, reserve habitats are well on their way to recovery, while staff and volunteers have enabled the site to reopen to visitors.
