To ensure that the University of California and UC Nature are properly acknowledged, the Universitywide UC Nature Advisory Committee approved at its May 2002 meeting the following acknowledgments to be included in all publications, theses, reports, etc. that benefit from the use of UC Nature sites or research support. This notice regarding acknowledgment should be distributed to all users.
Form for acknowledgments in publications or reports of work performed at UC Nature sites or using such sites as a base:
“This work was performed (in part) at UC Nature’s (reserve name),” doi:(reserve doi#).”

Form for acknowledgments in publications or reports of work supported by the Systemwide Office of UC Nature:
“This work was supported by a Mildred E. Mathias Graduate Student Research Grant from UC Nature.”
or, as appropriate,
“This work was supported by a grant from UC Nature.”
